Duck pictures!!!

Our seven baby ducks are doing well! We've seen them and taken many pictures of our fuzzy little buddies. They're brown with yellow chests, so they can be difficult to discern from each other at first.

Sharon got some good shots of them last night, then this morning, I went out to check on them and they weren't there. I took a look around the house for them, then as i was getting the paper, i saw Momma Duck with a trail of little ones following her down in the park.

Sharon got up, and we grabbed cameras and crackers and headed down. we fed the other adults crackers first, so they wouldn't overwhelm the little ones. Then Sharon headed over to the water where Momma Duck was introducing them to the river. They came back up to the park and headed to a water spigot where the ducks gather for water. Momma Duck and another duck started going back and forth then she flipped out and chased him and another one in circles. The babies just stood straight up and wondered what the heck was going on.

After that commotion, she waddled back to the street, and took her babies back to our house! We were surprised at this, and headed back up to put fresh batteries in the camera and to grab more crackers. They ate crackers, and frolicked in the water bowls. Bailey wanted to go otu and play with them, but we decided that would be a bad idea. She enjoyed watching them from the window, though.
